The US Coast Guard brought The Payne family to the Florida Keys in 2013.  They quickly fell in love with the community, purchased a home on Sugarloaf Key and made the Keys their home! Danny and Carrie are a husband and wife team that bring both technical, business expertise, and professionalism to everything they do.

Danny, Waypoint’s Owner and Lead Inspector, is an engineer by trade with 13 years of his career specializing in shipboard mechanics/engineering and 10 years in commercial facility management (including maintenance). If you can think of it, he’s probably seen it on land and at sea. Danny is an InterNACHI certified home  inspector and also holds certifications in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and environmental management.

Carrie, Waypoint’s Marketing PR liaison, is an Interior Designer by education with 20 years experience in Sales and Marketing with many cherished relationships in our local community. From behind-the-scenes timely communication to onsite assistance, she loves rolling up her sleeves to make things happen!

In their free time the Payne’s enjoy trips out to the sandbar, fishing, and being a part of local youth sports with their boys. Danny & Carrie both serve on the board of our Key West Youth Lacrosse league and are Affiliate members of the Key West Association of Realtors and Lower Keys Association of Realtors!
